Swim and Dive Teams

Swim Team Information

In order to participate in Swim & Dive Teams:

• Your membership must be active and in good standing.

• Swimmers must be able to complete 1 full pool length (25yards) without assistance. ( Doesn't need to be pretty!). Coach works with all levels to develop stronger techniques however, swim team is NOT the same as swim lessons. 

• Sessions are based on the age groups used by our league for meets. Age 11 and over competes in 50 yard races, 10 and under in 25 yard races.

Swim team season is Monday June 17th-July 25th

The first meet is scheduled for June 22nd
(All meets are on Saturdays unless otherwise noted.)

What if my child cannot attend all of the practices and/or meets?

We ask that you make your best effort to attend practices and meets. Many families can only attend mornings or evening practices. You are welcome to participate as much as possible and we encourage your child to come to meets EVEN if they have missed practices. The meets are incredibly FUN, friendly, welcoming, and supportive of swimmers of all abilities.

Cost - Discounts for multiple children!

• 1st child: $150

• 2nd child: $135 per child

• 3rd child +: $125 per child

Each swimmer will also need to purchase a swim team bathing suit, which is required to be worn at swim meets (details on ordering coming soon). Each child receives a HLC swim cap with registration.

2024 Swim Team Practice Schedules:

Swim team practice will begin on Monday, June 17. We will continue our morning and evening practice schedule from last year which allowed for even more families to participate.

Wednesdays and Friday Mornings

• 9:00-10:00am age group 11+ years

• 10:00-10:35am age group 9-10 years

• 10:35-11:00am age group 8 & under 

Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays - Evenings

• 6:00-6:25 age group  8 and under with little experience

• 6:25-7:00 pm age group 9-10 years

• 7:00-8:00 pm age group 11+ years

All meets are on Saturdays unless otherwise noted.

Typically an 8:30 warmup and a 9:00 start​

• 6/22 AWAY - HLC at Old Lyme

• 6/29 AWAY - HLC at Madison Racquet

• 7/6 HOME - Woodbridge Club at High Lane 

• 7/13 HOME - Guilford Racquet at High Lane 

• 7/20 HOME - Farms at High Lane

• 7/23 (tentative) Championships TBD

• (Banquet usually same day as Championships)
