TENNIS STAFF
Courtney Banks
Director of Tennis
With 10 years of experience as a Tennis Professional, Courtney Banks is excited to join High Lane as the club’s new Head Pro. Courtney learned to play tennis at High Lane herself, growing up just a few streets away from the club. As a high schooler, Courtney helped lead her
team to three New England Championships at Hopkins School. After that, Courtney attended
Connecticut College, where she captained the Women’s Tennis Team and graduated in the spring of 2024 with a degree in American Studies. Currently, Courtney is pursuing a master’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education at Southern Connecticut State University and hopes to teach high school history.

Courtney spent the last 10 summers as an Assistant Pro at the Madison Beach Club, playing an integral role in the tennis program there. Courtney also coaches indoors at North
Haven Health and Racquet during the winter season, where she teaches junior clinics and works with players of all levels and ages in private lessons. Courtney coaches with a focus on the
development of tennis fundamentals, enhancing technique, and improving game strategy. She is excited to work with High Lane’s young members and hopes to get as many kids on the court as possible this summer! Courtney will offer clinics for junior of all skill and experience levels in addition to coaching High Lane’s Jr. Tennis Team. Courtney is also looking forward to working with the adult tennis community at High Lane and plans to offer a variety of tennis programming for members, including Cardio Tennis, Beginner Clinics, Point Play Sessions and more!
Stay tuned for more information regarding tennis programming as we get closer to the spring and summer seasons. Weather permitting, Courtney hopes to begin teaching clinics in
mid-April and plans to offer a junior tennis camp during April Vacation. Courtney is extremely excited to get started as High Lane’s new Head Pro and looks forward to meeting the High Lane membership!
